I have a question, sometimes, the scotsman ice machine stays in "harvest time blinks" and then turns off the machine, then a few seconds later starts the machine again. is this normal?
And some one overcharged that machine!!! Oh my god im done.........?.........
So simple you fixed it!!!!! He he!
You wasted my time for six minutes and 11 seconds and then time it takes me to dictate this into my Apple iPad. You didn’t mention the model of your ice machine, the part number of the harvest switch and it took you five minutes to see you fixed it with a bungee cord. What an idiot!
What kind of band did you use
Good thing you got it fixed, cause you’re gonna need ice for your nuts if I see you for making me sit through this whole video to see a fuckin bungee cord! 😂😂
Joe Shearer 10-4 man. Glad it’s workin out!
Thundervee I've got lots of ice. Bungee cord is still working!
lols this guy, thats just the harvest door. you probably bumped the bridge thickness and got it going again,
*_This is the best ice ever!>>>_**_t.co/eG8B2UDpyg_**_ We love Sonic ice and it is just what we were hoping it would be! Highly recommend getting one._*
I’m glad this worked for you but there is still an underlying issue
Joe Shearer Well that’s cool 😎 if it works it’s works ! 👍🏻
Yes I know i built this thing with spare compressor from a household refrigerator.
Ice bridge thickness is too thick. Do i just move swirch settings to half cube settings?
Is this still working?
Would start by saying, ok guys what I want to talk about today is water wetness.
Here at Dave Jones refrigeration we do a 12 point water wetness test on all your equipment using the latest imanfold technology. We determine if you have fresh water, salt water, how wet the water is. Check calcium, minerals and potassium levels. Give us a call today!!
Of course he does made sure my compressor was phased correct and the water was wet enough to make ice
Who's doing the maintenance? Dave Jones?
Nice fix...I enjoyed the series.
If you leave a cup or scoop inside the machine, it will end up buried at the bottom as the ice inside melts and the machine fills. Just a friendly FYI in case you didn't know
Check discharge line temp at compressor you need 130 degrees at the end of the freeze cycle for proper harvest, might not get it with that compressor, but that's what you look for on a normal one. Did you replace txv to a R134a txv? You did good on this.
How does the evaporator heats up in ice machine
+Joe Shearer 145-160 your in good shape. Nice job Joe
Actually discharge is between 145 and 160 depending on the temp outside but it plummets as soon as it enters harvest. Luckily it has just enough heat to release the ice. No I didn't change the txv it's a cap tube system. Thanks for the comment I was hoping you would.
Keep it simple...I like the fix!
Thanks for watching zeke
as long as its making ice its a fix!! now you have to figure out what you gonna do with all that ice, ice bucket challenge maybe?
I could sponsor it! Lol once I get bored with it I'll prolly sell it but we enjoy the ice it makes ! Good for sweet tea
DC is actually very easy to work with.. Inductors, Capacitors, Resistors, etc... But cool simple fix!
Thanks man I just meant I didn't have any way to delay that open signal by just a few seconds longer since it is DC volt and everything I have is for 24vac. What would you recommend?
Sweet bro. The best repairs are simple.
Yes that they are ! Thanks buddy
Proud of you Hun!
you can sell that machine to a Chinese restaurant. They will be happy to buy it, That is pretty much how all there refrigeration equipment is running anyways (tape & Bunjy cords). Good fix
Lol actually the guy I got it from wanted first chance to buy it if I got it running again. But we are enjoying the ice this thing makes for now!
