  • Jamie spent months perfecting this recipe, and wants to share it with you! All the usual chilli, garlic and onion is combined with Jamie's secret addition of apple juice and cider vinegar to make this wonderful sauce. Make a big batch and use it on everything!

    I've added apple before but chunks and mustard seeds & let cook. Was in incredible sauce. I'm going to try the cloudy apple juice this time.

    Is apple cider vinegar is the apple cider? I'm not sure I can buy it in Hungary...I mean we have cider in hungary which you can drink like if it was a beer but it's cider. :) Is it the same cider? Or of course we have apple vinegar but it is a very sour stuff in very little portions...like one tablespoon could kill a family with its sour flavour.

      Apple cider vinegar is apple vinegar, it's supposed to be sour, it's vinegar. Don't drink it on its own.

    Don't like it. As a hot sauce guru myself, this was definitely bizarre. Apple juice and sugar along side tomatoes? Red Bell Peppers instead.

    Ok so I made this and I just want to throw out a warning, hot chilli sauce and blenders are not a great mix, mistakes were made, lessons learned.
    So after the aforementioned “mishap” and 30 minutes of cleaning pretty much everything in the kitchen I got back to making this and I must say the mess was worth it. I did use scotch bonnet chillies as they are to my liking.

    What a ridiculous amount of ingredients for something that should be fresh, raw, made in little batches and using extra salt and vinegar only. It's chili sauce, not salsa.

    Apple cider vinegar get put in lots of chilli sauce, as it's a natural preservative.

    Love the sauce!!! Juiced my own green apples as I live remote North Western Australian with limited access to ingredients, which of course makes you do everything from scratch.

    but if it is bottled hot so as to create the vacuum and the pH is less than 4 it can be kept for a year? because sterilizing in a pot is useless since the Botox dies at 120 °
